The day before Mother’s Day I wandered into Ann Taylor after seeing their amazing spring pieces in the window. And I was completely blown away—I literally loved everything in the store. With a previous reputation of being a store for women looking for affordable business suits and professional attire, their new Spring/Summer Collection totally blew my mind (and found me at the counter checkout with five items!). So I decided to share one of the looks I purchased at Ann Taylor—enjoy!

This season I took note. I’m all about a strong, vibrant palette, that recalls a fauvist picture. I’m wearing red head to toe—taking center stage on feminine and chic ensembles. I wore this look on Mother’s Day and yes, I was quite standing out in this vivid rouge. It’s fun, flirty and a sure-to-be-noticed look but my boys loved it! Speaking of my boys. They surprised me with the sweetest Mother’s Day note and flowers. I was seriously so touched and if you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen the story of my son’s Mother’s Day note! It was a hoot—I laughed and cried at the same time. I truly love being a mom to boys. Even though my husband and I wished for a girl I can now say that I cannot even imagine not having my boys. They make me laugh every day…and yes, they are messy at times, rambunctious and wild but I LOVE it all. I really do.

First the red dress and now the amazing outfit. I love the red colour, it’s amazing! I really like the shirt, it looks very elegant and I do believe it would fit many other outfits as well. I think the glasses are very cool as well. I would think maybe about choosing shoes in the nude color, but these are also very nice.
