After a whirlwind trip my family and I are ecstatic to be back in the Golden State. If you are following me on social media you’ve probably seen my Instagram stories regarding our stressful journey to California. Our flight was delayed twice and we didn’t make it to San Francisco until midnight. My children were exhausted (+parents!) but the most important thing is that we got here safe. We finally reunited with family and it feels so good!
I’m feeling a lot better too. I’ve had strep throat literally the week before we got here. It was horrible and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to go on this trip. So much was going on which is why I wasn’t able to either blog or post on social media. Right now we are spending a lot of time with family (my husband is from San Francisco) and it’s so sweet to watch my oldest son play with all of his cousins! So far summer has been a blast for my two boys and it honestly fills my heart with so much joy! It’s so true: When your kids are happy so are you!

Yes travel hiccups can very frustrating. Last year my step family was visiting from Paris and they had plans to be in NY and the Florida. Well late in the day of the morning they left for Florida as I returned from work and put the key in the door I heard voices and turned and saw as many and 12 year old child that bore quite a resemblance to my step family I did a double take, there they were. Their 10 am flight had been cancelled and even though the airport is about 20-30 mins away the did not get back until almost 8 pm. Not fun
But the upside is we got spend more time together and time with family is key.

Sounds like a hectic journey but glad that it all ended well. You look fab as always. We have been having a heat wave in the uk that I have been most definietely enjoying! I hope you’re feeling much better, girl! I know that must be so painful. I had strep throat once years ago.
