Happy Wednesday, and thanks so much for stopping by! I’m so excited to share my very first HAIR TUTORIAL with you all today! First up is the “Braided Ponytail” which is one of my favorites! Big and voluminous braids are HUGE this season, and as far as hairstyles go, it doesn’t get much easier than this tutorial. If you can tie a ponytail than you can create this braid in just minutes, too. Continue reading to learn how

STEP 1:  Tie a ponytail. Secure with a hair band.

STEP 2: Grab two (2) strands from the back of your ponytail and bring forward.

STEP 3: Secure strands with a small hair elastic band.

STEP 4:  Continue this process. Grab two strands from the back of your hair and bring them forward. Secure with a small hair elastic band until you reach the bottom of your braid.

STEP 5: While securing your hair strands be sure to pull them apart (but be gentle!) to create a fuller braid look!

STEP 6: Continue to loosen each strand (all the way down to the bottom) until you have reached your desired look. Once completed you may want to use some hairspray and spray it onto your braid, and you’re done!

As always, thanks much for reading and have a great day!

Much love.

Weellll, with my short hair I cant quite follow this tutorial but I do love me some juicy thick braided ponytail. It gives a youthful look and its great when you are nipping about on those sweltering days. Lovely hon!
And my new blog and post is up. When designing my blog, yours was very inspiring. I explained to another blogger whose design I like a lot that coming to your blogs, is like entering someone’s house and their decor just hits you and makes you smile. I had that in mind when designing my blog, anyhoo, here it is:

Ps I looove the shot of Kingston where he is wearing the green trousers, braces and bowties. I looove when lil’ boys dress like smart mini men. Building my blog has kept me out of the loop with some of your posts but I’m happy to be back in the game. Xx

Dear V., so lovely! I love braids and this style is very nice! It’s such a coincidence, last Sunday I tried something similar (you’ll see it next Monday), but it was a bit different and not as beautiful as yours! In the end it didn’t work very well for me, if I had just seen your tutorial before! I will try again! Hugs and regards!

This is an amazing first hair tutorial! I haven’t ever tried to create a braid in this way and will definitely try it out. My hair is very fine so braids usually end up looking flat but I think this technique might allow me to fake some extra volume. Thank you for sharing!

  16. June 22, 2016 / 1:37 PM

I’m always in total envy of girls I see with voluminous braids! Your hair is gorgeous!

I have literally never seen or even heard of a braid like this, but it looks amazing, Vanessa! The little bands don’t even show and it looks so intricate!

Roll your braid into a bun at the nape of your neck. Keep it in place with a few bobby pins. This will be especially effective if you have really long hair.

  25. June 23, 2016 / 5:50 AM

WOW, I would have long hair just to make a braid !! You look so beautiful and chic!
