Pencil It In

Today I decided to delve into the world of office fashion. Besides my fashion blog I have a full-time cooperate job, and Megan, a reader, recently emailed me asking me what I wear to work.  My answer? Pencil skirts, and the good news is that they are super flattering on most body types! You just need to get the fit, style, material, and closure that best suits your body.  However, I recommend that you always try on your pencil skirts in the store – because sizes do vary by fabric. Also, you may want to walk around in it to test how comfortable it is because let’s face it: The pencil skirt should most definitely be your most comfortable, go-to piece of office attire.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by & have a lovely day, dolls!

I am not quite ready to let go of summer – hence I pulled out my shorts one more time to pair it with my favorite denim button down shirt. I wore this look last week when we had yet another hot and humid ‘Indian Summer Day’. It’s super easy and simple, and definitely one of my favorite looks for summer!

With a fresh new season right around the corner, I am stocking up on a few key pieces that will give my autumn wardrobe a neon refresher. This season, autumn is all about down-to-earth simplicity, so the season finds its decorative outlet in snuggly coats (but since it is not officially fall yet I decided to wear my favorite jean jacket instead) and layers of soft knit. I dream of cashmere, though…, and while the mood may be primitive one must admit that the details are sublime, don’t you agree?! But let’s talk about this adorable purse for second, OK?! I received it from AMI Clubwear and I am head over heels in love with it! And guess what?! You can get it for $39.99! What a steal!

I am slowly transiting into my fall wardrobe even though we’re not quite there yet. I am wearing my favorite faux leather pants paired with my chain print shirt from Forever21 (it kind of reminded me of Versace which I why I bought it, truth to be told). The black and gold shirt truly goes with everything – hence styling is easy! It is fluid, has a great shaped hem, and an allover chain print design that is simply to die for! Oh, and how great is this jacket my hubs got me? Totally swooned by it!

White Dress x Black Hat

Today I am pairing a white spring dress with a chic summer hat in black. I love those two extremes: The quirky, off-beat color combo of black and white has always had a special place in my heart…a little bit androgynous, a lot of Tim Burton, and always über-chic. My fascination with the stark contrast started when I was a little girl, looking through my mother’s closet…Yes, she had and still has tons of black and white ensembles. Hence I would often grab a few pieces from her closet (I admitted it openly, mom!).
