Guide to Healthy Hair

Guide-To-Healthy-Hair-Vanessa-Lambert-What-Would-V-Wear

One of the many questions I get is “How to get long and healthy hair”. My answer is always simple: Give your locks a little extra love! Nourish them and by that I mean eat well! Believe it or not but nutrition plays a crucial role in how strong and healthy your hair is, it’s vital!

It’s astounding and heartwarming at the same time how many compliments I get about my hair. I’m flattered which is why I decided to share my hair secrets with you! Questions about, how I grew my hair so long to what products I use—I will share it all!

Nutrition

One thing I learned is that what you eat plays a vital role in your overall hair health. Hair is made up of protein, and if our bodies don’t get enough Vitamin B, zinc and healthy fats, our hair will suffer. Therefore the most important thing you can do to get healthy locks is to start from the inside, supporting your health.

Wash Only When Needed

Call me crazy on this one but the less we wash our hair, the more we allow our natural oils to nourish our scalps giving our hair the opportunity to grow, shine, and be healthier.

Ice Cold

I read a long time that when you’re about to hop out of the shower or tub, give your hair a rinse with ice cold water. It’s not only great for your skin but your hair too! It helps close the hair cuticle which then helps retain the moisture.

What are some of your favorite hair care tips?! I would love to hear from you in the comments! As always, thanks much for reading & have a great day!

you’d be shocked what just natural coconut oil does to your hair. I use it as a mask once a week and it made such a huge difference in my hair health.

So many great tips Vanessa! I’m not sure if I can wrap my head around ice cold water at the end of shower but maybe I will give it a shot because your hair always looks so fabulous. Hope you have a great weekend!
