My dear Jaxson, I can’t believe it’s been a year already. You came into this world on April 4, 2017 at 5:09 p.m., at 7 lbs., 7 oz., 20 1/4 inches tall. And whoa, was I excited to meet you. I carried you for the whole 39 weeks, your grandma from Germany flew in, and your brother – like a giddy puppy, he couldn’t wait to meet you either. And daddy too. Thank goodness your father was able to keep me calm while we waited and waited for the doctor to deliver you at 5:09 p.m.

Giving birth wasn’t exactly fun, I’m not gonna lie, but I’ll never forget that moment when the doctor laid you down on my chest—I still get teary eyed when I think of this precious moment. I had given birth to another beautiful and healthy baby boy. Time stood still as I held you. Tears came running down my face. You came out perfect!
You were a pretty good sleeper from the start. But things changed around 9 months when you had your first cold. Since then you wake up twice in the middle of the night. Mommy and daddy are exhausted but we’d do anything for you, little man. So, how can it be that you’re already one year old? It truly feels like yesterday that I gave birth to you…On this note, please, never lose your happiness. The best part about you is how happy you are, every single day, no matter what. You wake up with a big smile on your face, and you go to sleep that way too. You love to giggle; you even know how to make your brother giggle.

Dear Vanessa, blessed you ad your beautiful family!
