Spring has finally arrived and I couldn’t be more excited, and so I decided to revive this simply joy of wearing polka dots! This simple print has such an elegant, yet elementary feel to it and I couldn’t help but feel like a youngster – which obviously means jumping around in it! SO fun! My son copied me, and started jumping all over the place and yes, we did take a few pictures of him as well but unfortunately they didn’t come out as good! Hopefully I will get some good ones soon because it’s just too darn cute – I swear!

As always, thanks so much for visiting & have a fabulous day!

Much love!

Happy Friday, love bugs! I am so excited for this weekend because Chicago’s weather is predicted to be in the mid 40’s which seriously gets Midwesterners all giddy (we consider 30s and 40s warm during winter)! My family and I are already making plans of all the things we are going to do outdoors. My son loves to be outdoors so, we’re thinking of going to the City or the Botanic Garden perhaps. We shall see.

PS:  Feeling like I’m head swamped in cozy pink clouds with this über comfy beanie. I added this pink beanie to give my edgy, all black ensemble some color since we all need a little dose of pink, now and again, right?!!
As always, thanks much for stopping by & have a lovely weekend!

Much love!

I’ve got more than a few statement coats now but this one is by far my favorite. Chicago has gotten really cold again, and even though, I do complain about Chicago’s crazy winter – I sure must admit that I love wearing faux fur coats (and yes, I am aware of the irony!) during the winter season.

Tell me: What’s your favorite coat to make a big statement in?! Do you prefer faux fur or real fur?! Do share!

As always, thanks much for reading & have a great day!

Much love!

I’m certainly not one of those who suffer from the neon kick because I’m addicted. This neon sweater makes me happy every time I wear it because I love bright colors that adds a jolt of energy to my day! While it may seem like a daring color choice, it’s surprisingly easy to wear. I bought this sweater last year, and it has already become a staple in my closet.

For today, I paired my sweater with a faux leather fringe skirt to create a rather rocker chic look. I debated whether to add any accessories as I was afraid it might be too much, but fortunately this statement necklace by Kay K Couture just coordinated perfectly and added the perfect amount of bling!

As always, thanks much for reading & Happy Monday!

Much love!

Smell The Roses

We live in such frantic times, moving from one thing to the next without really concentrating on anything in particular. Our minds become restless – yet we have so many opportunities to be generous and inspire each other. Today’s post is all about “smelling the roses”, and how the birth of my son, Kingston taught me to appreciate just how precious life is. When Kingston was born everything had changed. As a new parent, you learn that the cliché everyone tells you is actually true: It goes so fast. My son will turn 4 this year and I cannot help but be astounded by this simple fact. I get teary eyed just thinking about it because I don’t want this experience of raising Kingston to race by. I want it to drag on, deliberately, definitively, and perhaps forever.

I want to enjoy being a mother. Being a mother is the BEST life has to offer. It has taught me to live my life with compassion; to be kind to myself so I can be kind to others.

So, let’s make today count! Let us stop, and “smell the roses” together, as they say, because right now is the only time we will ever have. Let’s make the most of it.

Have a great weekend.

Much love!
