Little did I know when I shared this outfit post of me on Instagram on how much feedback it would receive, thanks to one little accessory: The Blanket Scarf. It’s a cool and chic accessory that actually keeps you warm + there are so many ways on how to wear it! Today I’m showing you “4 Ways How To Wear A Blanket Scarf”. I personally love to wear my scarf in a loose triangle, i.e. cowboy chic.

Another chic way is to wrap it around your neck which is known as “European Style”. This way your scarf becomes a much fuller version.

If you are feeling lazy you can opt for a simple ‘half-wrap’. It creates an effortlessly and yet sophisticated look.

So long black heels. This fall and winter is all about (bright) red heels, and these red booties are a definite must this season. Not only is the color ‘red’ a show-stopper but these booties are actually very comfortable, too. This classic silhouette is anything but ordinary. I’ve paired my booties with a pair of jeans and a shaggy faux fur coat to keep me warm. Temps in Chicago have drastically dropped, and I’m still trying to get used to this cold weather. Each and every year I seem to have such hard time with Chicago winters. My husband is from California, and we keep asking ourselves: “Why are we still here?”

Anyhow, I wanted to THANK YOU all for your love and support! Jalisa, editor and founder of the StyleContour recently nominated me with the Liebster Award, and I’m just so humbled by it. Below are some questions from Jalisa which I finally answered. Hopefully this will paint you a better picture of who I am. 🙂

What’s your favorite color? Turquoise.

Cats or dogs? Dogs. I have three dogs and love them!

Tea or Coffee? Coffee. A latte that is. My coffee usually contains more milk than coffee but I still consider myself a coffee drinker.

Favorite designer? Chanel.

Favorite place to shop? Nordstrom, and various online sites.

Favorite Food? Asian, i.e. sushi. What can I say? It’s in my roots.

Favorite season? Summer. Like I mentioned above: I have a hard time with the cold. We don’t get along. Period.

What do you like most about yourself? Being a mother to my 4 year old son. He makes my life complete.

What’s your favorite perfume or body mist? Chanel “Mademoiselle” perfume.

How would you define your style? My style is feminine with a little bit of an edge.

Happy Friday, and thanks so much for stopping by! Can you believe it’s almost Christmas? To kick of the upcoming Holiday Season I decided to wear my red lace leather jacket, and take a couple of pictures in front of a Christmas tree. Red is such a festive color, and this jacket is truly exceptional. It is part of Vogue Magazine’s “30 Holiday Gift Ideas” at Macy’s in collaboration with Inc International Concept’s 30th Anniversary.

How are you planning on spending Christmas? Are you going on vacation, or are you like me, and spend it with your family at home? To me, this is the best part of the Holiday Season. Being with family. Christmas is also a nice reminder of what is really important in life: Our relationship with God and his son Jesus, who died for us so we can have everlasting life, and our relationship with our loved ones. I often remind myself of that because my relationship with God, and my family is very important to me. Sometimes you forget since we live in such fast-paced and often stressful times. So, let us remind ourselves to make this Holiday Season a SEASON of Thankfulness and Gratitude. What do you think? Happy Wednesday! For today’s post I’ve switched my coat for a fun fall cape! It keeps me warm while looking very stylish – even though my husband didn’t get it at first. He said I looked like some sort of a superhero but I disagree with him. We have seen the cape on the runway, on celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Olivia Palermo, etc. which means: The cape is a fall/winter staple!

There are so many styles, silhouettes and fabrics available however, I love a classic cape. The one I’m wearing is from Boohoo. The sleek camel, and its clean lines are just to die for + it easily works with the rest of my clothing which is a big score!
