Call me winter sergeant! Today I’m wearing a military jacket from OBEY Clothing which I have paired with a fun, striped skirt, and a turtle neck sweater. The classic military jacket has always been my fashion item for the colder months, those green army jackets, either over-sized or fitted, are definitely my must-have clothing item for this season! They can be completely casual- worn over a tee, with leggings, jewelry and platforms, or glammed up with sequins, studs, chiffon, etc. There are so many flaps, zips, and buttons that make the jacket so fun, yet practical for winter.
As always, thanks so much for reading & have a fabulous day!
So excited for the opportunity to collaborate with OBEY Clothing today. “OBEY Clothing was founded on the art, design and ideals of Shepard Fairey. What started for Fairey with an absurd sticker he created in 1989 while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design has since evolved into a worldwide street art campaign, as well as an acclaimed body of fine art” [to read more about the designer click here].
I am all about self-empowerment which is exactly what Fairey’s ideology is; with biting sarcasm verging on reverse psychology, he goads viewers, using the imperative “obey,” to take heed of the propagandists out to bend the world to their agendas.
To get my ‘word’ across I am wearing OBEY’s fall staples: The front thrift tee made in gauzy pigment dyed cotton/modal jersey for a vintage look, paired with their newest military jacket (which consists of authentic military fabrication). And before I forget: Did you know that OBEY Clothing sells amazing jewelry as well? I received the most gorgeous over-sized, celestial inspired geometric statement ring from them also which I will feature next week! Stay tuned!
And now, head on over to Obey Clothing and check their website out, and be empowered!
As always, thank you for reading and a BIG THANK YOU to OBEY Clothing for sponsoring this post.
