Meet When Wear & Now

As a way to show support and give recognition to some of my blogger friends, I’ve decided to launch a new series simply called “Meet…”. First up, is the lovely Brittany Hinrichs from When Wear & Now.

What made you want to start your blog?

I started my blog as a creative outlet for myself, and to showcase my overflowing closet, but it has developed into so much more these past few months. Now, I want to show women that as soon as you determine what your style is, and what works for you, and your body type, you will be unstoppable!  How you dress conveys your personality, your mood, and helps people get to know you before you even speak, so your better off putting your best foot forward, preferably in heels! Paired with a great handbag too of course!

How would you describe your style?

It’s hard to describe my style since it changes depending on what mood I am in, but I would have to say it lies somewhere in between lady like glam, and bohemian chic. My style icons are Miranda Kerr and Rachel Zoe.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

5 years a long time to look ahead, but I am up for anything that gets thrown my way! Whether than means I will still be blogging, if that means I move to New York or LA to pursue other fashion ventures, I am not sure, but one thing is for sure. Whatever I do, one thing is for sure, my goal is to help women be confident with who they are, and the way you dress has everything to do with that!

You can check out Brittany’s fab blog here.

Today I felt like wearing a jungle themed outfit due to the fact that Chicago finally decided to get warmer again and as I’ve mentioned before: I am so ready for spring, in fact, it can’t come here soon enough! I’ve been craving 70 degree weather like no other! Until then, though, I’ll continue wearing colors in the hope that it’ll bring out the sun some more!

Fun Fact: The pictures were taken at the Historic Heritage Museum and Log Cabin in Skokie, IL. The wooden house (I’m standing in front of) was built in the 1800’s, and a total of 8 children were raised in that house (NOTE: The house is teeny tiny)!

 Have a great weekend, dolls!
