I won’t lie: Winter in Chicago
can be is rough. I’ve lived in Chicago for about 10 years and I’m still not accustomed to below zero digits, however, there’s something beautiful seeing the snow fall soundlessly to the ground; it’s almost like our world turns into a snow globe.
We took these pictures at the Chicago Botanic Garden, and as my family and I were strolling through the garden I thought to myself: “How magical the garden looks – being covered in this endless, heavy blanket of snow.” It’s beautiful, and yet it’s very deceiving. As pretty as it looks – we were weren’t able to stay for very long because, simply put, we froze to death.
