We live in very stressful times, and I definitely consider myself a modern woman who is constantly busy. I’m a business owner, mother and wife. There are many times where I feel overwhelmed and exhausted. But I’ve learned that at times like these I simply need some time for myself. My inner spirit needs a rest, and what place would be better than the forest? It’s my save haven — a place where I can rest, replenish and renew.
Further, I truly believe that everyone’s soul has a unique purpose in life. A year ago it was my great mission to blog full-time, and growing into the best version of myself. During this journey of self-employment I’ve learned that my path and purpose will be different to everyone else, so instead of conforming to social norms, I started to consult with my own heart and intuition when making decisions for my life.

Great post, Vanessa! To me, happiness has a lot to do with gratitude. It’s important for me to make time every day to be grateful for what I have. It’s also a way for me to slow down.

What a lovely post Vanessa, I am so glad you decided to become a full time blogger to make yourself happy. This is a great step and sometimes when you get overwhelmed it is nice to take a break and concentrate on what you want. For me happiness is doing what I want, a couple of years ago I used to act how the way everyone would find “correct” but that wasn’t me. When I got to college I was so glad in was in a different country because then nobody knew me and it was a fresh new start. That was when I was finally happy!

First things first: you are absolutely gorgeous! This dress and flower crown are so pretty and your smile is stunning. I loved reading this post- we definitely do live in a high-stress world and I often get caught up in everything as well. As a student, it can be hard for me to balance my work, part time job, blog, and personal relationships, but I find that my happy place is nature too. There’s a hiking trail near my house, and I like going off trail and finding my favorite meadow, where I can just sit for hours and calm myself down.

The key to happiness, for me, is acceptance. Once you accept that you can’t have everything you want or everything done your way, then there are a lot less reasons to be angry and more space to be at peace. And then you can find ways to improve things, still not expecting everything to be perfect right away.
