I’ve always dreamed big, and I can only encourage you do the same. Becoming a digital publisher has opened many exciting doors, but more importantly it has helped me grow. I started my blog almost two years ago, and I’m not exeggerating when I say that I’ve come a long way.

I started with a simple free template blog from WordPress in 2014. After four months of blogging I knew that I needed to upgrade my blog, but I did not quite want to pay someone to do that for me. Hence I purchased a web design online, and custom designed it all myself – from fonts, colors, social buttons and my logo. And let me tell you: During that time I learned a whole lot about HTML and coding. Something a blogger should definitely be familiar with.

Fast forward to 2016, after 1 1/2 years of blogging, I decided to quit my full-time corporate job in January 2016 to pursue digital publishing full-time. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life next to becoming a mother. I feel so blessed to do what I love for a living, and truly: If I can do it, so can you! Simply believe in yourself, and become a member of Fohrcard’s Quitters Club yourself!

    Okay… this is beyond adorable, as are YOU! However, you by no means are a quitter!! Actually, you are the exact opposite of a quitter. A go-getter who is dedicated and passionate to do what you are meant to do, clearly this is your calling! Such an inspiration, Vanessa!

    I love your story its super inspiring. You made very timely leaps and bounds and thats something I’m trying to do. It took you 4 months to hop from a WordPress to .com blog and its taken me 4 years, aaaand I’m paying someone to do it but since I am currently looking for a job in the content/comms in digital sector, it would certainly benefit me to know how to HTML, code and learn as much online techy jargon as I can….well the year is not out yet….did I say you really inspire me? Well let me say so again, it would be great to meet you one of these days. I love my close friends and family but sometimes I want to chat at length about blogging, blogging goals, trials & tribulations but none of my friends are in that field: thats why I’m so happy I found you on the blogosphere! Keep at it, the sky’s the limit! Xx
