These multi-colored booties with their shiny patent leather have a retro seventies feeling look to them, don’t they? I have long been a fan of booties and with all these fabulous new styles and colors I simply could not resist this pair! Visions of blue, green, purple and fuchsia got me very excited as I saw them on Choies’ website. Known for their reasonable prices I knew immediately that I needed those fun and colorful heels in my shopping cart.

These booties bring out something fresh and exquisite out of them which I why I decided to bring back the 70s this season: Multi-colored booties, midi skirt glam, and a wool coat to keep me warm.

PS: My husband surprised me with Adobe Lightroom for Christmas and I am sure you can tell that I’ve been experiencing/working with it (especially with these images). I have used only Photoshop in the past so, Lightroom is new territory to me. Please, bear me with me as I am learning as I go, and if you should have any recommendations or tips on how to edit your images beautifully I would definitely love to hear from you!

As always, thanks much for visiting & have a Happy New Year! Can’t wait to see you back here in 2016 as I will start the New Year with a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Much love.

Happy Monday, and thanks so much for stopping by! I hope all of you had a blessed Holiday Season! I spent Christmas with my family and loved ones despite the fact I was sick during the Holidays. My son and I made chocolate covered candy canes, my husband cooked a fantastic Christmas meal, and my son dared his grandpa to eat a sour warhead candy during Christmas dinner which resulted in much laughter! You see, I love creating memories like these. To me, this is what Christmas is all about: Creating loving memories together.

But let’s talk about my hair tutorial, shall we?

I am excited to finally share my hair secrets with you after receiving so many questions on how I curl my hear to what products I use. First of, I love curls. There is something very untamed and sexy about them, and they are actually quite easy to create. While getting ready to go shoot today (outfit post for Wednesday), I decided to do a quick tutorial on how to create pretty, loose curls in 10 minutes flat.

STEP 1

I prep my hair by applying argon oil to the tips of my hair. I swear on argon oil – it’s not only beneficial by providing fatty acids and vitamin E to your hair but it also softens it beautifully.

STEP 2

I section my hair, and start curling away from my face. I use a 5-in-1 curling iron from Bombay Hair. NOTE: I only curl my ends since I prefer a loose curl/wave vs. thick curls.

STEP 3

After curling I brush through my hair with my fingers to loosen up my curls.

And that’s it. It’s super easy. I hope you found this tutorial helpful! Please, let me know if you have any questions, and let me know if you are interested in future tutorials. As always, I would love to hear your feedback!

Thanks much for reading & have a lovely Monday!

Much love.

It’s no secret that I’m quite fond of fur, well, faux fur to be specific, and for this winter faux fur vests to be more specific. I could live in them. They are soft, keep you snuggly warm, and frankly, they are the best layering (transitional) pieces out there! Faux fur vests are most definitely my biggest trend, partly because they go so well with my 70s obsession. I got my green, faux fur vest (isn’t it sophisticated-luxurious-trendy-grungy-classy looking?!) at Burlington Coat Factory for a super steal of $20. But let’s talk about how to actually wear them since we can probably agree on how chic and classy they are, right?!

I personally love to wear faux fur vests over pretty much anything, however, pairing them with flared denim and a comfy sweater is probably my favorite. I simply adore the boho feel of this look (again, I’m 70s obsessed).

How do you wear faux fur vests? Let me know by commenting below!

As always, thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous Monday!

Much love.

What Would V Wear_Dainty Jewelry

To me, accessorizing is the most fun part of an outfit. While I don’t think you can’t rely on accessories to make a dress that isn’t working work, I do love jewelry and handbags more than anything.” – Anna Kendrick

Less is more has always been my style mantra, from make-up, hair, clothing and accessories. The trend from statement to subtle has been going strong for a a while now, and while I love certain statement pieces (think bulky, statement necklaces!) – dainty jewelry has slowly won a place in my heart.

My style keeps evolving, just as I evolve as a person. I have learned that change is good. Without change there is no adventure in life. To most people, change is scary, and I must admit: It is scary when the future is unknown but this is the moment where we need to take a “leap of faith”, and simply embrace change. So, change is good when you embrace it. It helps you grow as a human being.

Wearing dainty jewelry today is my way of embracing change.

As always, thanks so much for reading & have a wonderful Monday!

This season, I decided to treat myself to a new black dress from Eva Mendes’ Collection for New York & Company. Mendes’ Holiday Collection officially launched on Dec 2, and I am so excited to feature this look with you today! Getting all decked out for the holidays doesn’t mean donning around in your PJs, but instead play around for the holidays! Eva Mendes designed so many wonderful styles for New York & Company this upcoming holiday season, and I must admit: I had a hard time choosing my favorites! Her whole collection is beyond beautiful, however, with so many parties, family gatherings and work obligations, I decided on a Little Black Dress (LBD) with a few fun adjustments from her collection.

Black and gold is a popular color combination right now hence I decided to pair my little black dress with a fun gold clutch. It’s a perfect way to show my holiday spirit without being too over-the-top. I also love the idea of styling your Little Black Dress with colorful accessories, such as shoes and make-up. For instance, add some red heels to your LBD and I guarantee you that you will turn heads as well. It’s a perfect way to jazz up your black dress.

Now you tell me: How would you style your Little Black Dress? As always, I would love to hear from you, and thanks so much for reading!

Much love.
