Less is more has always been my style mantra, from make-up, hair, clothing and accessories. The trend from statement to subtle has been going strong for a a while now, and while I love certain statement pieces (think bulky, statement necklaces!) – dainty jewelry has slowly won a place in my heart.

My style keeps evolving, just as I evolve as a person. I have learned that change is good. Without change there is no adventure in life. To most people, change is scary, and I must admit: It is scary when the future is unknown but this is the moment where we need to take a “leap of faith”, and simply embrace change. So, change is good when you embrace it. It helps you grow as a human being.

Wearing dainty jewelry today is my way of embracing change.

    These are such gorgeous pieces, Vanessa! I love the quote you shared because I too love bags and jewelry; my hubby doesn’t even need to ask what I want for a special occasion, it’s one or the other. I love statement pieces, but dainty ones, I feel, are more special and sentimental. It’s usually the smaller pieces that have been handed down as heirlooms and plus, they’re perfect for stacking or wearing individually, as you’ve done here.

    I agree, life’s changes can certainly be scary, especially having to face that we all have an unknown. We may have plans for tomorrow, but we have no control over what actually happens and how it happens tomorrow. We can plan, but we cannot always control. This is such a beautiful post, Vanessa. I can feel your heart in the words you’ve shared.

    I dwell in More is More ville but I can still appreciate minimalist/dainty jewellery when I see it. I loooove those rings and wearing multi-rings/layering them gives that More is More vibe I love! How cool you got a ‘V’ ring. I want a ‘B’ ring! I like looking at those rings that fit halfway across your finger but in real life, I know I’d abstractly keep forcin’m them down or would keep on flexing my hands..tsigh…I’m just not a dainty gal…. ( : Ps good for you for embracing change, it looks good on you/your hands!
