The Modern Retro Touch

You’ve probably heard the saying “everything old is new again.” Fashion comes and goes and I secretly wished I saved more clothes from the early 1990s…since many old fashions always come back into fashion. Take retro for instance. Today, I’m going to give you a look at what modern retro is…Continue reading to learn more!

My last post was retro inspired as my friend Amber and I visited a 50s themed diner in Park Ridge. I couldn’t help but reminisce about this place that I decided to dig a little deeper to find more places like this one. And I was quite lucky! Comes out I live very close to few places that are quite retro, like the hot dog place where we took these pictures at, as well as another diner I intend to visit sometime soon. Same goes with fashion. I received this amazing top from Forever Unique and I’m obsessed with it! I paired the top with my fave pair of Levi’s jeans and some fun red sunglasses to get the retro vibe really going!

What do you think of this look and what are your thoughts on retro fashion?

As always, thanks so much for reading & have a great week!

Love the stripes and I also adore the red sunglasses. This is a fabulous retro look but it also looks current and on point. Thank you for the wise words also!

I love modern retro on you! I usually like bohemian chic, so I don’t know how modern retro would look on me. You, however, look amazing!

It is so true that fashion repeats itself. I love this retro look on you, Vanessa! I have had my eye on a similar pair of retro sunglasses. I just think they are so cute! But, I don’t know if I can pull them off. You wear them so well! Happy Wednesday!

I love the look. I think my favorite “retro” trend are high waisted bell bottoms !

I love the retro vibe of this outfit, and the way you’ve edited the pics makes that really shine! 🙂 I like the neck scarf too, I wish I could pull off the small neck scarf look, it’s something I just admire on others!

Hope you are having a good week so far 🙂 I’ve lost my voice so not the best week for me, haha! I’m trying to rest up.

This is such a cute look! I love the off the shoulder top and the stripes! Talk about vintage! I would normally help my mom clean out her closet and we tossed a few things we should’ve kept!
