Ways To Own Maternity Style When You’re Pregnant

I’m almost 28 weeks pregnant, can you believe it? f you follow me on Instagram you are probably aware that I was at the hospital due to severe contractions on Monday…It all happened in the middle of the night but I’m glad that Baby J and I are well and that I was able to leave the hospital. Thank you for your support and love! I read all of your comments—words cannot describe how grateful I am for YOU!

It was by far a very scary experience…It all happened around 2AM. The pain literally woke me up. I was confused at first, not really knowing if I was really experiencing contractions but as soon as I’ve felt my bump tightening, the pain wrapping around my belly and back, well, I knew that this could only be contractions. I tried to get up but couldn’t walk—the pain was just too much. My husband woke up immediately and found me on the floor. I told him that I was in severe pain and that I think I might have have contractions. We went straight to the hospital were it was confirmed: I was indeed having contractions. We ran a bunch of tests and luckily everything was fine. I just have to take it easy from now on, and I’m praying that I won’t experience contractions again until I’m actually ready to go into labor. It’s just so, so scary…But anyhow, thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your sweet messages and support! They truly meant so much to me!

But let’s talk fashion for a bit, shall we?! As I’ve mentioned in previous posts—maternity doesn’t need to be boring. Remember, we’re a radiant, life-bearing force hence we are so much stronger than we think. I still like to be fashionable, and I’ve found some amazing maternity brands that help you achieve it! Be fashionable, be you! Like my faux-leather leggings, yes, they are maternity and oh so (!) comfy! You gotta love them! I prefer wearing black too because you’ll automatically look 100 times more bad-ass while pregnant. I suggest throwing on a cape, leggings, and boots for an effortlessly stylish and comfy look.

As always, thanks much for reading & have a lovely Wednesday!

XOXO

Oh no, dear V., I am not on Instagram, so I didn’t know about it! So scary, I am so happy that you are fine now, and Baby J too, and I hope it doesn’t happen anymore! Please slow down, please relax a bit, maybe all the excitement of the new year was responsible for that – I don’t know, just wishing you to relax and avoid worries! I really wish, from the bottom of my heart, that all goes smooth now. Not the time to have contractions, not till the 40th week! You are right, maternity fashion can be cool, with capes and ponchos, and you look lovely and beautiful, dear V.! I am really sending you good vibes for you to stay healthy! Kisses and hugs, dear V.!

I read your post on IG of you sharing that you were in the hospital, but I didn’t know quite what happened until now. That certainly was a scary experience and thank God that it happened early in morning while your husband was home with you! I’m glad everything turned out okay for both you and baby and I believe that this will be the last of these contractions, until birth. As for your outfit, you look so incredibly chic, as you always do! I love this cape and it looks so good paired with those leggings and I adore that bag! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your day, do take it easy!!!!
