Winter Pregnancy Survival Guide

Winter Pregnancy Survival Guide

I’m not going to lie: Being in pregnant in the winter can be brutal. Chicago has been exceptionally cold this early in December—from icy streets to tons of snow—it simply isn’t easy. But I decided not to let the harsh winter weather get me down. Instead, I to look forward to the warm-weather months where I will be able to take the baby on long Spring/Summer walks once he’s born.

To keep warm and comfortable during winter when you’re almost 7 months pregnant can be a challenge at times but I’ve learned that layering is always key! And while my bump continues to grow I cannot help but be mesmerized. It might be harder to dress the bump but it truly is such a miracle. I cannot believe what my body is actually capable of. My back aches and my rib cage gives me tremendous pain but every time I feel little Baby J kick inside of me, well…, all the pain is forgotten.

So, yes, I might complain about the cold and I may secretly wish it was warmer but I honestly cannot wait when our little baby boy is born during the Spring! I know this will all be forgotten…

As always, thanks much for reading & have a wonderful Monday!

XOXO

I love how positive you remain love! With focusing on spring instead of winter and focusing on the baby rather than the pain your body goes through! Due to the fact that time is flying by insanely quickly these days, I know he’ll be here in no time!

    Have a lovely week! Xx

My friends always prefer being pregnant during the cold season because they get to enjoy the warmer weather with the baby. Just be careful with the snow. Plus I can’t believe it’s 7 months. It felt like you just told us your 3 months. Love the color of that vest.

First of all, massive kudos for taking these shots in the freezing cold, its warmer in Berlin but I’m not doing any outside shots for a while! Looove your baby blue sleeveless coat. As for the aches and pains, good on you for taking them on like a champ. Hope you had a lovely time with your bro et al over the weekend. Xx

I’m swooning over your winter pregnancy style. You look amazing. Never thought of how difficult pregnancy would be in the winter too. I always thought about the summer roughness because of the heat. Baby J will be here soon enough. Xoxo
