Now while I don’t run a marathon while 30 weeks pregnant I do, however, prefer a brisk walk. Over the weekend we had over 50 degrees which was the perfect day for a walk and some exercise routines by the beach. As you know, I’m an avid runner but being in my 3rd trimester running is pretty much out of the picture so, I opt for a gentler option: Brisk walking. It helps me to stay fit, and most importantly it feels so good. It keeps my lungs and heart healthy which means the baby will profit from it as well. But please, note that you should take some precautions, and be sure to talk to your doctor first before you start your exercise routine.
I also believe in light stretching before and after my work-out. Lately I’ve had some really bad back aches and stretching seems to help relax my back a bit. It also helps relieve some of my discomfort and it gives me a boost of energy…because let’s face it: Being pregnant can be really tiring! How about you?! As always, thanks so much for reading & have a wonderful Monday!
