Over the weekend I ran my first 10K race in Deer Park. It was an absolute incredible experience even though the weather was extremely cold. I ran in negative degree weather and it was really windy – but I persevered.
I spent many of my younger years dancing but it wasn’t until recently that I got into ballet. Ballet had always been my childhood dream. When a friend of my mine and I saw “The Nutcracker” ballet performance over the holidays it only strengthened my love for it. It’s such a beautiful art. Ballet has the ability to create an infinite variety of dances. I had thought about taking lessons in my 30s, but never did. And now, I’m embarking on this beautiful journey. I signed up for adult ballet classes.
As you may already know this year I vowed to live a healthier lifestyle. I practice yoga almost daily and I’ve recently picked up jogging again. Some yoga practices can be quite tough (think headstands!) and hence I’ve been sore lately. Especially on my back and neck. I love doing yoga because it stretches out your muscles and of course helps with toning. But having the neck and back pain can be a pain at times.
It’s time to stretch yourself; to grow and allow yourself to develop. I’ve been living a healthier lifestyle for the last 6 months by honing good habits, focusing on self-care and better eating habits. And the results are finally showing! I’m keeping tracking of my fitness journey with my FitTrack Pro App.
I’ve always loved yoga but it wasn’t until a few months back were I rediscovered it. Due to my hectic work schedule I knew that I would need an outlet soon where I can find peace (body and soul). If you don’t know, yoga is a mind-body practice. It brings together physical and mental disciplines that help me achieve peacefulness of body and mind. Practicing it helps me relax and manage my stress.
