Happy Thanksgiving!

Can you believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving?! From the bottom of my heart, I hope you have an amazing day celebrating with friends and family. It truly is the perfect time to take a moment to remember what you’re thankful for this year.

Tomorrow I’ll be cooking (and eating) up a storm, but I just wanted to take a moment and let you know I am so grateful for all of you. I feel so lucky every single day to have such a wonderful, smart, kind community of people here on WhatWouldVWear.com. You all inspire me, and I feel very lucky to have your support and friendship!

Count your blessings…

I am not going to go into depth, i.e. detail of all the things I am grateful for but instead, I am going to list some additional things that I am grateful for. Some of them I must admit that I have taken them for granted until I started making gratitude part of my daily routine. Every morning I wake up I try and make it a habit to simply show gratitude to be alive and be with my family. I now count my blessings on a daily basis and find joy even in the seemingly mundane. This list is no particular order of importance.

I am Grateful for…

  1. My children and husband
  2. My family in Europe
  3. My friends (many who I’ve known for years and new ones I have met this year)
  4. My blog
  5. Actual books (the fact that not all bookstores are closed makes me extremely happy—I much rather read a book than on an Ipad)
  6. Music
  7. Our community (neighboorhood, schools, etc.)
  8. My dogs Cali and Mylo
  9. Daily meditation
  10. Police and fire rescue personnel

What are you grateful for this season? If you’d like to share please leave a comment below. As always, thanks so much for reading and have a blessed Thanksgiving!

“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”

Psalm 95:1-2

This is such a wonderful list dear and yes, Happy Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Unfortunately, here in New York the temperature is going to be no higher than 25 degrees fahrenheit so quite freezing. Fortunatley, I don’t have anything planned involving going outdoors. I completely agree with you on the physical book sort of thing. I understand why e-readers or online books are so popular, however, I find there’s something so special about holding the actual book in your hands, feeling the pages, and just seeing a collection of all your favorite stories together. Again, hope you have an amazing holiday with your family.

Being thankful is so important because it makes us acknowledge the blessings we have in our life. Loved your list! I could totally copy most things from your list. I’m grateful for my family and husband ( I don’t have kids yet but I hope some day), books, blog, rescue & police personal, medical workers and so on. We have a lot to be thankful on. Happy Thanksgiving!
