Perspective

Perspective

I’ve learnt one important lesson this year, GRATITUDE. It truly is one of the most powerful emotions. Express gratitude daily and you’ll see how it changes your attitude and brightens your outlook. I am beyond grateful for the life I get to share with my family. My children are my everything so every time I catch myself complaining I remind myself to be thankful for this life.

If you have been following me for a while you may remember that I am a firm believer in the power of dreams and that if we work hard enough they will come true. A lot of people ask me on how to get started to become a power blogger and I always give the same answer: Start where you are with what you have and don’t get consumed in the “compare” game. It’s the biggest thief of joy. Do what you love and success will come your way. Also, be kind. Try not hurt other people. Take chances, and most importantly, if you fail, keep on trying.

Such a positive article, and what a nice thing to read on a monday night! I’m becoming more and more grateful as I grow older and I’ve noticed such a difference in how I feel and my perspective on life, it’s quite amazing how powerful it is!

I love your advice so much, Vanessa! I am right there with you and a total believer in the power of dreams (paired with hard work because, let’s face it, you have worked ridiculously hard to get where you are). The last year of my life has been mentally and physically taxing and I spent several months trying to wade through the “why me” questions before I realized it was getting me absolutely nowhere. Expressing gratitude for the good times and the bad is truly the best way to grow and find success.

I totally agree with you, Vanessa, constantly comparing with others will never let us enjoy our life. xx

Gratitude really is so important. It’s easy to get bogged down with the negative, but being grateful for the positive is the best feeling.

Being grateful is so important. Acknowledging our blessings opens way to new blessings. Sometimes we forget how much we have and for how much we should be thankful. I’m grateful for my students and for the opportunity to work as a teacher.
You look stunning in this outfit. Fabulous skirt as well.

Oh my it is so true. It is really astounding how many people do not have gratitude and it is always the people that have so much. OK enough of the rant. I LOVE what you are wearing. Just love it. Truly inspiring.
