What is it about French style that’s so simple and effortless? I’ve been trying to figure out the secret to French style for years despite the fact that I’m European. Simply put, there’s something about how French women dress that’s completely understated and yet always chic and the right amount of trendy.
Parisian Chic
One thing I’ve learned is that oftentimes it’s all about confidence. I once heard that “French women dress up with elegance and assurance, never to be seen. It’s the attitude that makes the statement.” I guess that’s exactly why it is inspiring in all ways. For today’s look that is what I kept in mind—confidence. I’m wearing a pair of vinyl pants, a comfy knit sweater, paired with snake-print booties and a beret to complete the look. Even though this ensemble is rather edgy I feel like the beret gives the entire look a softer feel, wouldn’t you agree?!
