Remember the 90s when vinyl was all the rave?! Fast forward to today, here I am trying out this trend for myself. I’ve seen Aimee of Song of Style wear it on her Instagram and I was immediately in love with this fierce look. So, I went and purchased my very own pair. I am after all a lover of leather, patent, vinyl, whatever… as long as it’s glossy, sign me up and paint me all over.
YAY or NAY?
Granted I’m not cat-woman but vinyl is one of those fabrics that seem to fit anyone. With leather pants being a huge trend still, so are red and black vinyl pants too. They are practically invading my Instagram feed. So, I figured it’s time to embrace the vinyl trend myself and have some fun with it! And fun it was! I wore this look in the City and boy (!) people looked at me as if I was an alien from another planet. I assume mother’s cannot be fashion forward?! I get this all the time…, like, how are mother’s supposed to look? Frumpy with unwashed hair?! Well, that ain’t me.
Some of you may argue that this fabric should belong in the flooring department and others, like me, think that it is appealing and one big fashion statement. From Aimee of Song of Style to Kylie Jenner, it’s clear vinyl is becoming unavoidable.
