This month my husband and I are celebrating our 13th Wedding Anniversary. And what’s a better way than to celebrate with a glittering new pair of diamond hoops? Gone are the days of simple shapes, standard settings and the traditional yellow gold and white diamond combination. Today’s diamond hoop earrings have unique twists and details to make them truly stand out.
As parents of two small children, my husband and I don’t get many nights out by ourselves. To get date-ready, I wore my new pair of diamond hoops from Anjolee and paired it with a beautiful pink pleated maxi dress. Long before we had children, my husband and I would quite frequently go on dates. I always loved getting all dolled up, and I’m not talking about getting all dolled up to attract other men. Mainly I get dressed up for myself, to tap into the part of me that gets ignored—the part of me that likes to be something besides a mother, the part of me that likes to end the night with something besides unfathomable exhaustion and an old sweatshirt that my kids have snotted all over.

We all love our comfy jeans and our college sweatshirts. But how often do we get to wear our sexy clothes? Every time I get the opportunity to get all dolled up I’ll take it! I feel good in dresses and I musgt admit that I have quite the closet full of dresses these days…
Invest in great jewelry
How do you glam up you look? By adding statement jewelry pieces. These days I’m quite the minimalist when it comes to jewelry but I always love to wear diamonds. Who doesn’t, am I right?
Save a little energy
Let’s face as parents we’re always tired. As fun as a date night can be, I made sure to save some energy for the extracurricular activities back at home. Because going out is refreshing and energizing, but it also takes energy. It’s important to come home with enough energy to “finish” the date (if you know what I mean), instead of collapsing on the bed moments after brushing our teeth.
